Confidential and discreet screening for sexually transmitted diseases is provided in a relaxed environment. Full examination with swabs for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea are taken, followed by blood tests for HIV, Hepatitis B and C and syphilis. Follow up, treatment and referral if necessary is included. 75% of Irish adults have never had sexually transmitted disease screening test. The bloods and swabs are relatively painless and if diseases are caught early generally they can be treated easily. There has been an increase in chlamydia and herpes in recent times.
